Happy New Year

* Be strong and of good courage ... Fear not, nor be dismayed; for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.1 CHRONICLES 28:20

* But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.ROMANS 7:6

* Help us, O Lord!
behold we enter
Upon another year today;
In Thee our hopes
and thoughts now centre,
Renew our courage for the way;
New life, new strength, new happiness,
We ask of Thee;
Oh, hear, and bless !
Johann Rist

* The year begins; and all its pages are as blank as the silent years of the life of Jesus Christ. Let us begin it with high resolution; then let us take all its limitations, all its hindrances, its disappointments, its narrow and common-place conditions, and meet them as the Master did in Nazareth, with patience, with obedience, putting ourselves in cheerful subjection, serving our apprenticeship. Who knows what opportunity may come to us this year? Let us live in a great spirit, then we shall be ready for a great occasion.
George Hodges

* Every day is a new page in your "book of my life." Write something that will make a difference in eternity. "Don't let yesterday use up too much of today" "Forgetting those things that are behind" Phil. 3:13The good-commit it to the Lord. The bad-confess it to the Lord and leave it there.Now, "Press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" Phil 3:14. "It will be worth it all when we see Jesus!!!!!"

My heart urges me to comment with some equally inspiring response. I feel there are verses that would go well with your theme. My head, on the other hand, refuses to allow them past the bridges of fatigue into my conscious. But, then, I glory in my fatigue, for it is of joyous origin; celebrating this new year, and life, that has been given us, with other redeemed. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, and sing a new song unto Him.

Happy New Year! :-)

For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.

Micah, I am glad that the post was inspiring. I am sorry that you are so tired, but glad to hear that the fatigue was worth it. The evening was joyous, & full of His people. I am glad that you all were able to come and share in the fun and late night(or morning). :) The Lord Bless you.

Natalie, Thank you for the verse. Happy New Year to you too. :) I am so glad that we were able to celebrate New Year's Eve together. It was good to see you & your family.

MyBelovedIsMine, I am so excited that you tagged me, I will start working on the answers to the first set of questions & your additions right away. Very nice additions by the way. :) Thank you.

M.J. You are welcomed. I am glad that you enjoyed the verses.

Just a note to wish you a Happy New Year!

And I concur that the fatigue following New Year's Eve was well worth it. I am sure there are scores of people who are thankful that your family and the Johnson family hosted this event. It was wonderful.

The first scripture you posted, 1 Chronicles 28:20, is almost an exact quote of a favorite of mine: Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

JFC, Happy New Year to you as well. It was our pleasure to host the dance. We were all excited to see the details work out and everyone get to come.

Those are both wonderful verses filled with strength and courage.

Thank you for commenting.:)

Heidi, Thank you for stopping by & leaving the beautiful verse in your comment. You are welcomed! Your friendship has been a blessing to me as well. Happy New Year!

"Once you have completed these 7 repeat questions and then my 8 new questions, I look forward to YOU creating 9 new questions to pass around to everyone!"

What happened to the 9 questions that you create and pass around?

Hmmm. Well, (thinking up a good explanation). Okay!!! (I have come up with one) I am waiting till everyone finishes the first 2 lists and I will then come up with my own list.

Why do you ask? Are you really wanting to answer more question?

(Real reason) I am not sure what to ask, so I will have to brain storm...
I feel like pooh bear, think, think, think and when you have finished that think some more. :)

I'll try to start coming up with a list. ;-)
